“Contrary to popular belief, the name Truck actually came from a compilation CD I picked up, ‘Ten Trucking Greats’, the soundtrack of the movie convoy” wrote festival creator Robin Bennett on the festivals website in 2007. This festival located in Oxfordshire has grown at such an excessive rate in the last few years that none of us foresaw the all star line up that they announced on Monday. Sell your Reading and Leeds tickets, forget Glastonbury, Truck may have just outdone all the major festivals with this years line up.
The Libertines top the bill alongside The Vaccines and Franz Ferdinand. And if you’ve forgotten just how much Franz Ferdinand can tear up a festival stage then watch this clip from a few years ago of them at T In The Park.
Festival favorites The Wombats join the bill alongside many emerging talents such as Jaws, Superfood and Loyle Carner. But if that wasn’t enough you even get to work out with Mr. Motivator.
With so many major festivals now asking you stump up in excess of £200, Truck festival have completed a task that so many can’t. A line up you can’t resist for a price that doesn’t make your stomach squirm. Below is a highlight video of last years festival put together from the Truck team but don’t hang around for too long as we can’t see tickets lasting for much longer.
