Last year the festival attracted 148,000 visitors over the course of the three-days and has a rich history of attracting some of the finest live talent in music.

Over the years the festival has had greats such as Kasabian, Biffy Clyro, The Human League, The Happy Mondays, The Enemy and The Buzzcoks grace the Main Stage, while their Rock/Rhythm tent has been home to performances from the likes of Slaves, Neck Deep, Fuse ODG, JME, Big Narstie, D double E and Devlin.

This year talent from all genres and generations have already been announced to an ever-growing bill, which is expected to have many more additions in the coming weeks. The Stranglers, Example & DJ Wire and The Darkness make up the three Main Stage headliners.

Coventry’s very own Tom Clarke will celebrate the 10 year anniversary of The Enemy’s number one debut album ‘We’ll live and die in these towns’ with an acoustic headline set in the Rhythm Tent on the Saturday night. Clarke, notes: “This year also marks 10 years since The Enemy first played at Godiva Festival, so it’s amazing to be able to announce that I’ll be performing a full unplugged set at the festival to end the run of dates on the anniversary tour.”

Alongside this, Mallory Knox will return to the festival four years after featuring on the festivals Main Stage in 2013 with lead singer Mikey Chapman stating, “Last time we played Godiva we had one of the best shows we played all year, this time we’re expecting no different. Can’t wait to get back and play again.”

In the last few days Britpop legends Cast have been added to the Main Stage bill. Further, Alabamba 3 will play an acoustic set on the Rhythm tent on the Saturday, which will also be home to a set from Panjabi MC who has worked alongside the likes of Jay Z.

With so many live events demanding such extortionate prices in current times there is absolutely no way you can miss out on Godiva Festival this year. While there is no camping at the festival it does feature a hilltop bar, craft stalls, an urban youth tent, vintage markets, fairground rides, a paradise tent, food stalls, an acoustic stage and so much more.
